OREANDA-NEWS. September 01, 2014. Moldova and Georgia will cooperate in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). The government today approved the signing of an agreement to this effect.

Communications and Information Technology Minister Pavel Filip said the purpose of the agreement was to strengthen the bilateral cooperation relations, in order to encourage joint efforts, supplement technological, financial and human resources, to cooperate in the development of the ICT area and of assistance, advising and technical training services.

The document provides for the implementation of more actions, including the exchange of regulatory and standardisation data, attracting investments in ICT, exchanging experience on e-government, promoting the circulation of electronic documents, development of electronic services.

The agreement will be signed for a four-year period, with possibility to extend it.
