OREANDA-NEWS. Our company won first prize at the International Festival of Preventative Media for its 'Reflection Day'. The event hands out awards for films, animations, digital applications and audiovisual products intended to promote the culture of prevention. This edition of the Festival had 290 entries from 33 countries.

'Reflection Day' is an annual event, during which Vale calls its operations to a halt for approximately one hour to talk to its employees across the globe about fatalities that occurred during the year and their individual roles in accident prevention.

This year, the fourth edition of our Reflection Day will be on October 22. For the first time, the video will involve the participation of our employees, in the form of messages sent in during the internal Health, Environment and Accident Prevention Weeks.
