OREANDA-NEWS. Hefei Commerce Department said on August 18 that the city government has approved a supportive policy to the operation of Hefei-Europe international freight train. Accordingly, the government will grant certain subsidies to the foreign trade and freight forwarding companies who choose to use the train for their freight transport before the end of this year.

Hefei has put Hefei-Europe Cargo Train, an international train for freight that links Hefei with Central Asia and Europe, into operation since this June,aiming to make the city an inland high-ground for opening up and create a new pattern of overall opening up. According to the supportive policy,foreign trade companies that choose to use the train to transport their goods will get a subsidy of 2,000 yuan for each 40ft-container or every two 20ft-containers, and freight forwarding agencies that collect goods and use the train will receive 6,000 yuan for the same sized container or containers.

The expiration of the supportive policies will be December 31, 2014. Any foreign trade and freight forwarding companies that choose Hefei-Europe international freight train for transporting their goods will get the subsidy mentioned above.
