OREANDA-NEWS. The productivity of OAO Belaruskali calculated on the basis of the personnel number is below the average global level in its industry, a company representative told.

Presently Belaruskali has 17,500 employees, and its maximal yearly capacity is 11-12 million tonnes of potash fertilisers. At the same time, the production volume of Uralkali is 13 million tonnes of potash fertilisers, with a personnel number of 11,200.

The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali is one of the world's largest manufacturers of potash fertilizers, employing about 18,440 personnel. It operates the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit and comprises four mine groups, auxiliary shops and support units.

Belaruskali controls more than 16% of the world's potash fertilizer market.
