Perm Engine Company Employs Displaced Residents from Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2014. OJSC “Perm Engine Company”, a subsidiary of “United Engine Building Corporation”, comprised into State Corporation “Rostech” has become the first company in Perm which employed Ukrainian migrants. More than 20 people have already applied for a job in PMZ.
At the beginning of August a meeting with displaced residents of the Ukraine initiated by the top-management of Perm Engine Company took place in the settlement of Crimea. There the questions and possibilities of employment in Perm Engine Company were discussed.
Sergey Liashenko, Production Director of OJSC "PMZ” told the audience about the company and its main products, in particular about the work of the shops and their new equipment. Irina Sudilovskaya, Staff Director of OJSC "PMZ” represented the personnel and social policy of the company, emphasizing that potential employees of the company had an opportunity to master a new profession (there is a training center at “PMZ”).
The discussion resulted in getting about 30 applications for such jobs as a processing engineer, electrician, mechanic of construction and installation works, welder, aircraft technician, miller, foundry worker, inspector, and a carrier. The Staff Service of the company considered professional skills of the applicants and picked up potential jobs for them.
On August 18, a group of Ukrainian residents visited the company.
The guests learned about the products of the enterprise, equipment work, communicated with the specialists in the shops. After then job interviews were organized which resulted in 22 applications for a job. All the applicants have a certificate confirming that they have a temporary shelter and serving as alien’s labor permit in the territory of the Russian Federation. If the applicants will submit all necessary documents and pass medical commission shortly, the hiring procedure will take maximum 10 days.
The first foreign employee – Alexander Nechay, now deputy foundry shop foreman, has come into the office since August, 18. Previously he had been the Chief Metallurgist at the PJSC “Luganskteplovoz”.
The top-management of Perm Engine Company considers it necessary to support the people who have found themselves in such adverse life circumstances.
