Ingosstrakh Pays RUR 5 mln for Damage to Vilyuchinsky Trawler
OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has paid more than RUB 5 m in connection with the damage to Vilyuchinsky vessel owned by Akros fishing company (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky).
The trawler was insured with Ingosstrakh Insurance Company under hull insurance program with liability for the total loss and damage. In December 2012 the ship was in the fishery in the Bering Sea. During trawling, the ship's gas turbo blower failed. As a result of the accident, the ship had to discontinue the fishing voyage and proceed to the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky for repairs.
After the examination of the causes and circumstances of the accident, the case was recognized as an insured event. In accordance with the terms of the contract, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid the customer compensation in the amount of more than RUB 5 m.
Vilyuchinsky, a medium fishing freezer trawler, was built at a Norwegian shipyard (Kristiansund) in 1990. The maximum length and width of the ship are 65.05 and 13 meters, respectively. The top speed of the fishing trawler is 14.3 knots (26.5 km / h). The ship has a crew of 68.
Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has cooperated with Akros JSC in the field of marine insurance since 2003. Insurance coverage is provided for 15 vessels of the company.
