OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid indemnity in the amount of RUB 7.5 m to Yashma Jewelry House LLC due to the burglary in a jewelry Tula store.

The trading stock of jewelry, including jewelry made of gold and precious stones, was insured by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company for a total amount of 9.5 million rubles. The insurance program provided protection against the risks of fire, lightning, explosion of gas, as well as against malicious acts of third parties, theft, burglary and robbery.

On November 8, 2012, the premises of the jewelry store were broken into by unknown persons who split open two safe boxes and stole the trading stock of jewelry for the amount of over RUB 7.5 m.

A criminal case was initiated in respect of the theft. The investigation did not succeed in finding the criminals. Upon careful examination of all the circumstances of the incident, as well as the opinion produced by the law enforcement agencies, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company recognized the occasion as an insured event and the policy holder received compensation in the amount of damage incurred.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has cooperated with Jewelry House Yashma LLC in the sphere of property and inventories insurance since 2011.
