OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has paid over RUB 4.1 m in insurance compensation in connection with a robbery of a bank branch in St. Petersburg.

The assets of the Bank, including cash, are insured with Ingosstrakh Insurance Company from any sudden and unforeseen incidents that can cause total or partial loss or damage of such assets.

The incident occurred on April 16, 2014. Three unknown persons broke into the bank and robbed it at gunpoint, stealing over RUB 4 m in cash. Criminal investigation was initiated on the robbery.

Upon the examination of all the circumstances, the case was recognized as an insured event and Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid the bank insurance compensation for the loss in accordance with the terms of the contract.
