Polish Farmers View Belarus as Alternative Market after Embargo
OREANDA-NEWS. Polish suppliers of fruit and vegetables are hoping that Belarus will serve as an alternative market to them, following Russia's ban on food from the EU.
Representatives of the Polish Agriculture Ministry are planning to visit Belarus by the end of August to discuss intensification of bilateral cooperation.
Belarus is Poland's third largest post-Soviet trade partner after Russia and Ukraine. In 2012 Poland exported USD 1.6 billion worth of goods to Belarus.
