OREANDA-NEWS. Over the first 7 months of 2014 the UTair Group transported a total of 6,189,245 passengers - an increase of 13.06% over the same period in 2013. Passenger turnover for the Group in the reporting period reached a total of 13,112,289,770 pkm, with 3.19% growth in domestic flight operations and 46.77% increase in international operations. Passenger load factor reached 80.65%, 4.33% more than for the same period 2013. The volume of mail delivered by the UTair Group amounted to 2,851.50 tons, an increase of 64.42%. UTair helicopters carried 51,185.85 tons of cargo and 425,516 passengers during the reporting period.

Since the beginning of 2014, the UTair Aviation has implemented consistent and progressive measures aimed to increase the efficiency of the company's route network and fleet. Index numbers growth in the first half of the year reflects the viability and effectiveness of these measures. Analysis of aviation industry best practices and UTair's own positive experience have laid the groundwork for Impulse, a new UTair efficiency improvement and structural optimization programme for 2014-2015. The implementation of this programme is expected to affect every major UTair department, with estimated operational savings amounting to 10 billion rubles by the end of 2015.
