OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2014. In the second quarter of 2014, UkrSibbank BNP Paribas Group transferred to the “Down Syndrome” organization more than UAH 30 thousand collected from transactions with “Silver Coin” cards. Around UAH 70 thousand have been transferred in 2014 so far.

UkrSibbank offers to its clients a supplementary “Silver Coin” card designed by Serhii Levchenko, a 12-year-old that came in first in the “Creating New Future” contest by UkrSibbank and the “Down Syndrome” organization. Quarterly, the bank transfers 1% of funds spent purchasing with this card to the “Down Syndrome” organization. Getting a unique “Silver Coin” card costs a one-time handling fee of UAH 50; no fees are deducted when paying for goods and services.
The joint project of UkrSibbank and the “Down Syndrome” organization aims at supporting families whose children have been diagnosed with this condition: psychological counseling, on-line support, parents’ group meetings, leaflets for maternity hospitals, prenatal and maternity welfare centers and seminars for parents and medical staff in the regions.

“The bank has been supporting the “Silver Coin” project for the fifth year in row. We try to overcome stereotype that the so-called “sunny” children are inferior. I would like to thank all the clients who acquired a “Silver Coin” card. Together we will help those children to become full-fledged members of society,” said Kostiantyn Lezhnin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board at UkrSibbank BNP Paribas Group.
