OREANDA-NEWS. Under its on-going Mega CSR campaign - 'Haath Badhata, Haath Batata - Hamesha Aapka Saath Nibhata', TPDDL will organize a series of Dengue prevention awareness camps at various JJ Clusters in North and North-West Delhi from Monday August 25, 2014. An estimated 12,000 JJ residents will benefit from the camps. The aim of these camps is to spread awareness regarding Dengue and ways to curb the deadly disease.

The Camps will be held at Shalimar Bagh BG block JJ cluster; Haiderpur Village and Ambedkar Nagar JJ clusters on August 25th, 27th and 28th respectively.

During the camp, residents will be briefed about dangers and prevention of Dengue by a team doctors and para-medical staffs. Pamphlets on ways to prevent Dengue will be distributed and Nukkad Nataks along with puppet shows will also be performed in the JJ Clusters.

Besides this, health check -up camps in association with Max India Foundation will also be organized wherein free medical facilities/ tests like Blood Pressure, Weight and RBS (Random Blood Sugar) would be provided to residents of JJ Clusters.

Health being the importance aspect, TPDDL provides free health facilities to our JJ residents. Through Dengue awareness and health check -up camps, we are trying to make the area dengue free and healthy. I also thank, Max India Foundation for partnering with us in our Mega CSR Campaign - 'Haath Badhata, Haath Batata - Hamesha Aapka Saath Nibhata'."

Residents of JJ colonies are appreciating the CSR initiatives. "We are concerned about Dengue and so far no company has reached us with such initiatives. We are grateful to TPDDL for making us aware about ways to prevent the Dengue menace," says, Poonam Rani, resident of BG Block JJ Cluster.

Ms. Rekha of Haiderpur Village too is of similar view. "Through the health camp, we will at least come to know about our health problems in time and it will help us remain healthy. The TPDDL initiative is commendable," he said.

No different are the thoughts of Ms. Geeta Singh, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar JJ Cluster. "To get even a simple test done, we generally need to go to hospitals several times. It cost us lot of money as well as time. This health camp will save us from that pain."

TPDDL has recently launched a Mega Corporate Social Responsibility campaign named 'Haath Badhata, Haath Batata - Hamesha Aapka Saath Nibhata'. The first of its kind CSR campaign by any power distribution company consists of activities which are likely to benefit people from all walks, particularly, economically and socially backward residing in JJ Clusters and Resettlement Colonies. Under the initiative, TPDDL has launched an Aadhar Card enrolment camp for the residents of Wazir Pur JJ Cluster on August 12, which continued for the next two days. A large number of JJ Colony residents enrolled for the same.
