OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has started to pay compensation to the aggrieved customers of RV World LLC tour operator. As of 13.08.2014, the company registered 23 claims on behalf of 50 aggrieved tourists for the total amount of RUB 4,669,612.53.

Approximately two thirds of the claims were received from the residents of Moscow and the Moscow Region, and the remaining third of the total quantity was submitted from other regions. To date, insurance compensation payment procedure is being implemented in respect of 4 claims totaling RUB 2,266,373.29 on behalf of 10 injured tourists who have already submitted to the insurance company all the necessary documents stipulated by the legislation.

According to RV World LLC, the total number of the aggrieved tourists may reach 161 clients who purchased 66 tours for the total amount of RUB 11,823,340.90. The data may be amended later as new claims are received from the tourists. The limit of liability under the contract with RV World LLC is RUB 30 m, so that all the aggrieved tourists will have an opportunity to receive compensations in full.

RV World LLC, a tour operator, suspended its activities on July 25, 2014. Rosa Vetrov tour operator did its business via its two legal entities: Rosa Vetrov World LLC and RV World LLC. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company provided insurance of civil liability for failure to perform or improper performance of obligations under contracts of sale of tourist product of RV World LLC, whereas the liability of Rosa Vetrov World LLC is insured by another insurance company.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company continues to accept applications for insurance compensation from the aggrieved customers of RV World LLC. Documents can be submitted at Ingosstrakh Insurance Company's office in Moscow, at the address: 41 Lesnaya St. Outside Moscow, customers can submit the documents to any branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company. The addresses of the branch offices are listed on the company's website www.ingos.ru <http://www.ingos.ru>. Documents can also be sent by postal service with delivery notification to: 41 Lesnaya St., Moscow, 127994, indicating that the recipient is Ingosstrakh Insurance Company, Department of Settlement of Claims under Liability Insurance. All envelopes with documents submitted to the office of the insurance company or sent by mail must be marked with the words "Losses under agreement with RV World Tour Operator LLC".

We would like to note, once again, that Ingosstrakh Insurance Company accepts documents only from the aggrieved customers of RV World LLC Tour Operator. Claims from the aggrieved customers of Rosa Vetrov World LLC are to be sent to another insurance company.

It bears reminding that in 2012 Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid nearly RUB 150 m in compensation upon the suspension of operations and default of Russian tour operators, including RUB 98.13 m paid to aggrieved customers of Lanta-Tour Voyage, RUB 27.8 m to those of CherriTour, and RUB 21.3 m to the customers of Luzhniki Travel Company.
