Moscow Region and Domodedovo Airport Sign Cooperation Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. On August 21, 2014, Moscow Domodedovo Airport hosted a meeting of Marina Zakharova, the Minister of Education of Moscow Region, and Dmitry Gorodetsky, the Head of Administration of Domodedovo Urban District, with the top managers of the air hub. It resulted in signing an agreement on cooperation as part of training of young professionals under the Inflow Program.
New opportunities open up for the participants of the educational project implemented by Moscow Domodedovo Airport: under the agreement, the Ministry of Education provides support for the young professionals training program of the airport. The air hub, in its turn, guarantees employment for the graduates, which is a successful practice in terms of human resources policy.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport has been implementing the targeted program - Inflow - for more than ten years. This is an opportunity for schoolchildren and students to obtain professional skills, to get acquainted with the structure, business profile and corporate culture of the Company. Schoolchildren can participate in the project: training courses at educational institutions and introductory programs on the basis of the airport are organized for them. Students participating in the program attend lectures and master classes carried out by Domodedovo experts, as well as do practical training at the airport enterprises. Scholarships are awarded as a result of successful completion of the targeted training.
The air hub presented the Inflow Program to Marina Zakharova, the head of the regional Ministry of Education, in spring 2014, and at the same time the cooperation time limits were set.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport experience in formation of human resources is unique to the aviation industry in this country and has been praised by the head of the educational authority of the Moscow Region. Currently, under the Inflow Program, the air hub cooperates with several higher and specialized secondary educational institutions, some of which are administered by the regional Ministry of Education. For example, in 2013 the Resource Center of the Air Transport and Logistics was established at the premises of Moskoviya College. In addition, in 2012, with the support of the Ministry of Education of the region under the Inflow Program, Moskoviya College launched two unique specialties, which today are among the most popular ones: transport services and air traffic management. Domodedovo fits out the educational process in the framework of providing this educational institution with the relevant equipment.
To develop practical skills for effective planning and managing of production processes in students trained under the Inflow Program, Moscow Domodedovo Airport also annually conducts the Business Game. Its participants are promising students selected based on their academic records. The Business Game simulates real-world business processes of the airport, managed by the future professionals for a short period of time. The key to success here is the best financial results showing the level of efficiency of young people and serving as an incentive to win.
In 2014, Moscow Domodedovo Airport launched a new project as part of training of young professionals - Inflow - Success Technology allowing students to develop their creative abilities, gain new knowledge and demonstrate existing skills. For this purpose, the air hub organized a summer camp where young people were given a unique opportunity to combine recreation and training. Such projects as the Business Game and Inflow - Success Technology are the most prestigious forms of recognition of the Inflow Targeted Educational Program students. They are an effective mechanism for improving HR policy and refreshing the corps d'elite of the Company.
Cooperation between the Ministry of Education of Moscow Region and Moscow Domodedovo Airport will create the best possible conditions for training of qualified personnel and improving the image of blue-collar jobs of the aviation industry in the region.
