It is reported that by the end of June, Agricultural Bank of China Limited (ABC) has seen the number of customers for small and micro enterprise (SME) loans reach nearly 270,000, up 43,000 from the beginning of the year and the loan balance has amounted to RMB911.2 billion, up RMB97.9 billion from the beginning of the year (unaudited).

In order to resolve SMEs’ financing difficulties, ABC sorted out and improved the SME credit service policies in terms of customer rating, credit granting process, industry access, resource allocation, special examination, and outlet construction. The SME credit approval process featuring “one investigation, one review and one approval” greatly improved the loan approval efficiency. In addition, the “batch credit granting” approval mode realized the batch marketing, batch reporting, and batch processing for the SME customer bases in business district, industrial chain (supply chain) and industrial cluster with the same characters and financial demands.

Besides, ABC also launched the activity of “making suggestions for the development of SME finance” to encourage employees to offer suggestions for improving the SME financial service. Meanwhile, branches also actively strengthened cooperation with local governments, regulators, associations and chambers of commerce. They held activities of SME financial service entering industrial parks, markets, and business districts and hosted forums and bank-enterprise meetings, to promote the SME financial services and products as well as industrial policies and information about financial and tax support and financial services provided to SMEs.
