Moldova Decreases Oil Product & Gas Exports by 17%
OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2014. In particular, as compared with the same period of the past year, the oil product exports increased 30.4% to USD8.4 million, the gas exports falling 85.6% to USD 0.6 million, the National Bureau of Statistics reports.
The share of oil products and gas in the total volume of Moldova’s exports shrank from 1% to 0.8%. The share of oil products increased from 0.6% to 0.7%, the gas share declining from 0.4% to 0.1%.
It should be noted that Moldova is known as a net petroleum importer and, as experts think, the dynamics is explained either by re-export or by supply of the crude oil produced by Valiexchimp in the southern regions of Moldova or, possibly, by the export of diesel fuel processed from the cruel oil in Comrat. Valiexchimp is also performing gas engineering around the village of Victorovca.
