Kazakh Deputy PM Participates in Meeting of Council of EEC
OREANDA-NEWS. August 21, 2014. A regular meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev was held in Moscow.
The meeting discussed current issues of further development of the Customs Union and Single Economic Space. There was taken a decision on the exemption from customs duty for aircrafts (with up to 90 seats according to LOPA certificate) imported into Kazakhstan from 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2017.
The parties also agreed to develop national components of the system of labeling of certain products of light industry.
Along with this, the participants discussed the feasibility of an agreement on free trade zone between the member states of the Customs Union and Single Economic Space and the Arab Republic of Egypt. There was noted the growing interest of third countries in the Eurasian integration associations.
Following the meeting, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved the procedure for creating and maintaining the register of legal entities engaged in the production of both vehicle models and motor vehicles themselves.
In addition, the meeting considered the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the Customs Union and Single Economic Space, and heard a report on the formation of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union.
