OREANDA-NEWS. August 21, 2014. In the first half of 2014 the export of products of Ukrainian origin to the European Union upped by USD 1.3 billion, and dropped by USD 2.5 billion to the Russian Federation.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced on Tuesday, August 19, during a meeting with representatives of the largest agricultural producers of Ukraine in Cherkasy region in the framework of a roundtable "The principal aspects of the Government's comprehensive package of changes to the tax system (the Concept of reforming the tax system of Ukraine)”.

“In the first half-year we increased exports to the European Union by USD 1.3 billion and decreased by USD 2.5 billion to Russia", - said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

It forces producers to seek ways to European markets, the Head of Government explained.

“Of course, we lack the institutional capacity of our government and your investment ability to advance faster to the EU markets. Give me the answer, what do you need from us, what document should we sign to increase your export volumes to the EU member states," - urged Arseniy Yatsenyuk. He added in order to increase exports of agricultural products to the markets of the EU states and create better conditions for business the representatives of the branch should be engaged in constant dialogue with the Government.
