UPS Establishes Freight Forwarding Services in Myanmar UPS Establishes
OREANDA-NEWS. UPS® (NYSE:UPS) today announced the expansion of inbound and outbound air and ocean freight services in Myanmar for the first time. Global customers trading to and from this emerging market will have access to UPS's extensive supply chain technologies and services, which initially will include UPS Air Freight Direct, UPS Air Freight Consolidated, Full Container Load and Less-than Container Load services.

As Myanmar begins its economic transformation with aims to become a new manufacturing market, and its businesses integrate into global supply chains, demand for freight services is expected to skyrocket. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Myanmar has a growth potential of 8.5-percent in the fiscal year of 2014 to 2015.1
