Riga Shipyard Participates in Ship Building Exhibition in Norway
OREANDA-NEWS. From August 19 to 22, the JSC “Rīgas kuģu būvētava” (RKB) will be taking part in “Nor-Fishing” - one of the largest exhibitions in the world dedicated to the fishing industry and to the building of fishing ships. The exhibition will be held in Trondheim, Norway. The RKB will be taking part for the seventh time and is sure that as always, “Nor-Fishing” will ensure direct contacts with existing clients as well as ensure recognition among professionals in the sector, offer an opportunity to discuss issues with clients, offer a chance to be able to engage in negotiations with potential clients and become inspired by what other shipyards have been doing.
This exhibition in particular is important for the RKB, because most of the shipyard's work relates to orders from clients in Scandinavia and Germany. The RKB is proud of the fact that Norwegian fishermen have expressed appreciation about the fishing trawlers that the shipyard builds.
During the exhibition, the RKB will offer visitors a look at its newest ship - the “Vesterhav”. It will be docked at a pier during the “Nor-Fishing” exhibition.
“Nor-Fishing” is an important meeting place for representatives of the shipbuilding industry, bringing them together once every two years. The history of the exhibition began more than 50 years ago. It was first held in Bergen and Oslo, but since 1965 it has based itself in Norway's third largest city, Trondheim. That is where the exhibition is once again taking place this year.
