OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2014. Chery held the offline and delivery ceremony of Bonus 3 (known as E3 in China) and Tiggo 5 at World Trade Center Moscow, marking the successful initiation of the localized assembly project between Chery and Derways.

At the ceremony, Yin Tongyue, the chairman and president of Chery, delivered a welcome speech. In his speech, he elaborated on Chery's overseas strategy and the idea of developing in the Russian market, expressing full confidence in the prospect of the cooperation with Derways. Afterwards he presented "Chery Key" to Musteatsa Alexeci, vice general manager of Derways and Gennady, general manager of Chery Russia, symbolizing the beginning of Chery-Derways cooperation and declaring the official launch of Bonus 3 and Tiggo 5 in Russia.

In the context that China and Russia are enhancing strategic cooperation relationship, this event drew great attention from the Chinese government and the media. Zhang Di, economic and commercial minister counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, delivered an opening speech on behalf of the Chinese government and enterprises of both sides. Present at the ceremony were Zhang Baoshun, secretary of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee; Li Hui, the Chinese ambassador to Russia; Zhang Di, economic and commercial minister counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Russia; Yin Tongyue, chairman and president of Chery; Musteatsa Alexeci, vice general manager of Derways and representatives of 26 media journalists.

Since its entry into the Russian market in 2005, Chery has had over 180,000 units possessed in Russia, ahead of other Chinese brands. The two new models: Bonus 3 and Tiggo 5 launched this time enjoy overwhelming superiorities over similar products in power, safety, configuration, appearance and interior comfort. Particularly, Tiggo 5 based on Chery's new platform has achieved brilliant presales results in Russia as one of strategic models in Chery's transformation.

After Bonus 3 and Tiggo 5, Chery will launch another strategic model Arrizo 7 based on its new platform at the Moscow International Motor Show to open on August 27. "Ambition Line", an effective combination of the three new models, will provide more and better choices to Russian customers.
