Norilsk Nickel Spends RUB 123 M to Improve Social Standards
OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2014. In H1 2014 the Company spent RUB 123 million to implement the Program aiming at the improvement of social and living standards of its employees.
The program dating back to 2003 guarantees better conditions of labor and laser of the employees and motivates higher level of appraisal of labor in Norilsk Nickel.
In line with the program, the measures are related to sanitary, living, sporting and health care facilities, as well as to the public catering.
This year, assembly and construction works will be held at 21 social and living facilities (18 in Norilsk industrial zone and 3 at Kola MMC). In H1, seven facilities were commissioned, including one catering point and two sporting and health care units. By the end of the year four more facilities are planned to be commissioned.
In the meantime, it is worth paying attention to the most important result: the Program improved social and living conditions of 1326 employees of the Company. The all along expenditures with the Program exceeded RUB 2,4 billion, 145 facilities were capitally refurbished.
