OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2014. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) summed up information on the cases opened on the basis of the reports prepared by the regional Offices.

In the first six months of 2014, FAS and its regional Offices initiated 77 cases on administrative violations, liability for which is specified in Article 9.15 of the Code of the Russian Federation in Administrative Violations.

In the period in question the antimonopoly bodies initiated:

- 47 administrative cases against officials

- 30 administrative cases against legal entities, and

- Imposed fines in total for 7,006,000 RUB.

It is necessary to state that to further improve enforcement over compliance with the Information Disclosure Standards by participants of wholesale and retail markets of electric power, FAS has devised and in the near future will approve the forms of information disclosure.

“Approving these forms will increase transparency of activities of participants of wholesale and retail markets of electric power, actions of the Market Council and organizations of commercial and technological infrastructure of the wholesale market of electric power. It will also enable the authorized federal executive bodies to more efficiently enforce compliance with the Information Disclosure Standards”, pointed out the Head of FAS Department for Control over Electric Power Industry, Vitaly Korolyov.

No. 24 Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 21.04.2004 approved the Information Disclosure Standards for wholesale and retail markets of electric power. FAS is assigned powers to enforce compliance with the Information Disclosure Standards.
