OREANDA-NEWS. Following July, the passenger traffic of Moscow Domodedovo Airport amounted to 3,843,127 persons which is 13.7% more yoy. The number of flights increased by 8.1% yoy to make 28,061 take-offs and landings.

A significant growth of indicators was observed on domestic routes - plus 30.4% yoy which makes almost 1.7 million people. During the reporting period, international passenger traffic reached 2.13 million people - the indicator increased by 3.1% yoy.

The trend of redistribution of passenger traffic toward increasing domestic routes traffic persists. At the same time, due to the vacations period, the passenger traffic keeps growing in southern destinations − Crimea, Sochi.

Following the first 7 months of 2014, 158,663 flights were operated, which is 7.0% more yoy. Following the results of January-July, the passenger traffic increased by 8.2% yoy and amounted to 18.7 million people.

The domestic routes passenger traffic for 7 months of 2014 reached 8.3 million people, which is 19.0% more than for the same period of last year. The greatest growth - 84.1% - was in the following group of destinations: Simferopol, Sochi, Makhachkala, Krasnodar, Kaliningrad. The number of people travelling to these destinations amounted to almost 1.7 million people.

In January-July 2014, the highest rate of growth in the international passenger traffic was characteristic of the following cities: Hurghada, Antalya, Sharm El Sheikh, Kishinev, Larnaca. The passenger traffic there increased by 38.8% and amounted to 2.3 million travelers. In total, the international airlines passenger traffic of the airport during the first seven months amounted to 10.5 million people which is 1.0% more yoy.
