OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of July 2014 came to about 1,220.711 million m3, up 9.6% to that in July 2013.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 169.828 million m3, up 8.5% from July 2013, due to lower average temperature compared to that in the same period last year, leading to the increased demand for water-heating.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 219.256 million m3, down 2.4% from July 2013, due to less metering days compared to that in the same period last year.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 642.047 million m3, up 16.3% from July 2013, due to the increased demand for power generation.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 189.580 million m3, up 5.1% from July 2013, due to the increased demand of the other companies.
