OREANDA-NEWS. The program “Navigation 2013" lasted from May to October 2013. The industrial port of the company Uralkali on a 24-hour basis transferred up to 9,000 tons of products a day. Over 160 bulk carriers of different sizes were loaded in the industrial port. For the duration of the program “Navigation 2013" more than 750,000 tons of Uralkali products were delivered to customers by water..

Smooth work of the industrial port during the 2013 navigation season with a relatively low water level was made possible, among other things, due to dredging operations in the approach channel 2.5 km long.

In the summer, when renovation works are under way, Uralkali has the ability to keep up the volume of shipments and send part of the products by water.

In the future, thanks to implementation of an automated command and control system in the industrial port and to improvement and upgrade of our technology and equipment, we plan to increase the shipment capacity of the port to 2 million tons of potassium chloride in the navigation season, apart from other products.
