OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2014. This figure was announced during the ceremony held at the Orhei-Vit factory in Orhei to launch a new line to produce cherry, grape and apple concentrated juice.

The ceremony was attended by Moldova's Premier Iurie Leanca, Agriculture Minister Vasile Bumacov and representatives of commercial banks and equipment providers, of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Moldovan Sustainable Energy Efficiency Facility (MoSEFF), associations UniAgroProtect and Moldova Fruct and heads of leading farms. The new line, made at Bucher Unipektin, is unique for domestic processing enterprises. It allows producing high quality grape and cherry concentrated juice meeting most rigorous requirements and demands of leading juice producers.

The installed capacity of the Bucher Unipektin line allows processing 500 tons of fruit per 24 hours. As it was said during the ceremony, Orhei-Vit’s investment amounted to EUR 5 million in 2014. Such an ambitious project is indivisible part of Orhei-Vit’s investment policy, which includes modernization of the production and launches of new industrial lines. Most of the semi-finished products made at the company are exported to the EU, first of all to Germany, Austria and Poland.

Thanks to the new line, new jobs have been created, a volume of output in the central part of Moldova will be increased and risks of losing harvests will be reduced. The value addition will increase receipts to the regional and state budgets. The project was implemented in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, MoSEFF and Bucher Unipektin. Orhei-Vit is the leader of the juice and baby food industry in Moldova. It owns two modern factories in Orhei and Causeni, a farm and a distribution company.

It possesses such top-selling brands as Naturalis, Vita, Vita Premium, Gustos, Vita Baby and others. Products of the company are sold to more than 25 countries. Orhei-Vit facilities include modern efficient equipment made at TETRA-PAK, Bucher, Unipectin, EBL, FBRELPO, etc.
