OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2014. President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 401 “Concerning the development and modernization of the infrastructure of the state border of the Republic of Belarus and near-border territories”.

The decree aims to create conditions to facilitate the construction of new facilities to enforce the Belarus-Ukraine section of the state border and near the construction site of the Belarusian nuclear power plant.

For this purpose it is needed to withdraw land plots and provide them to the border service in order to create engineering infrastructure at the state border. It is cannot be done in due time and without additional financing in line with the existing legislation.

The decree provides for special conditions for raising the efficiency of using budget financing to enforce the state border, streamline the procedure of withdrawal of land plots near the state border and work out relevant documents.
