OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2014. Within the framework of the visit of the business delegation of Japan at the head of Mr.T.Motegi, the Minister of economy, trade and industry to Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan-Japan business-forum took place in Tashkent.

Within the framework of the visit of the business delegation of Japan at the head of Mr.T.Motegi, the Minister of economy, trade and industry to Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan-Japan business-forum took place in Tashkent on August 7. It was attended by representatives of more than 15 Japanese organizations and companies. 

During the event business delegation of Japan were viewed of economic potential of Uzbekistan, opportunities for cooperation in such fields as oil-gas, chemical industry, information and communication technologies. Japanese attendees have been informed on prospective investment offers, benefits and preferences for foreign investors, including within the framework of Navoi FIEZ, Angren and Jizzakh SIZ.    

During the business-forum issues of further development of trade-economic and investment cooperation, including in the fields of power engineering, ICT, automobile manufacture, food, textile and chemical industry were discussed in detail. 

Within the framework of the event the cooperation exchange was also organized, during of which business communities of two countries viewed prospects of cooperation.
