Volume of Industrial Output in Moldova in IH Grew by 4,4%
OREANDA-NEWS. August 14, 2014. As it was informed in the National Bureau of statistics, in June 2014, the industrial production volumes have increased in comparison with June of the previous year by 4.8%. On the whole in January-June 2014 production volumes in the mining industry increased by 9.1%, in the processing industry-by 6.8%, respectively.
According to the NBS data, the enterprises on manufacture of food products and beverages for 6 months, 2014 has increased the production volumes by 16.9%. In particular, manufacture of vegetable and animal oils and fats has increased by 4.2 times. Production, processing and preserving of meat and meat products increased by 20.1%, processing and preserving of fruit and vegetables increased by 14.9%. Processing and preserving of fish, crustaceans and mollusks registered growth of 8.8%.
Dairy production grew by 8.3%, cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery products -6.9%, non-alcoholic, soft drinks, mineral water - 2.7%. At the same time, there was registered a reduction of wine production - by 28%, alcoholic drinks - by 23.4%, products of flour-milling industry, starches and starch products – by 13.8%, pasta, noodles and other bakery products - by 3%, bread, cakes and fresh confectionery products - by 1.8%.
According to the NBS data, in the first half of 2014, the production of computers, electronic and optical products grew by 65.6%. Processing of wood and manufacture of products of wood and cork, except furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and other vegetable plaiting materials increased by 35.8%, chemicals and chemical products - by 29.8%, textile articles - by 19.9%, clothes - by 17.1%, paper and cardboard - by 10.2%. The steel industry output grew by 10.1%, furniture production increased by 4.1%, machinery and equipment - by 1.3%. At the same time, in January-June 2014 manufacture of tobacco products decreased by 32.6%, pharmaceutical products - by 24.1%, electro-equipment - 15.2%, footwear - by 6.6%.
Tanning and dressing of leather; manufacture of handbags, dressing and dyeing of fur decreased by 5.3%. Production of rubber and plastic products fell by 3.1%. In the energy sector was registered a decline by 4.5%. In particular, the supply of steam and hot water supply decreased by 8.6%, production and distribution of electricity - by 3.1%.
