OREANDA-NEWS. Deflation rate in Georgia made 0,6% in July 2014 as against June 2014, told in the National Statistics Office of Georgia "GeoStat".

Over the reporting period, foodstuffs and soft drink prices dropped by 2,1%; alcohol drinks and tobacco prices - by 0,4%;  service at hotels, cafe and restaurants - by 0,5%. At the same time, prices on public utilities service increased by 0,5%; prices in healthcare sphere - by 0,7%; transport sphere - by 0,6%. Education in communications and education spheres remained unchanged.

The inflation rate in Georgia made 2,8% in July 2014, as against July 2013. Over the reporting period, alcohol drinks and tobacco prices increased by 7,1%; foodstuffs and soft drink prices - by 3,4%. Service at hotels, cafe and restaurants - by 2,6%; in the healthcare sphere - by 4,7%; in transport sphere - by 3,6%; in the education sphere - by 0,8%; public utilities service - by 3,5%. At the same time, prices in communications sphere dropped by 0,8%.
