OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2014. Today sworn attorney Laine Skopina begins her professional activities at SORAINEN, becoming the 25th partner.

As of now, Laine will contribute her 23 years’ experience to co-heading both the Latvian and the Regional Real Estate and Construction Teams. Moreover, the list of SORAINEN Latvia legal and tax specialists will be strengthened by acquiring four experienced professionals thus achieving an unprecedented number of professionals working at one law firm in Latvia – 42. 

By consolidating two leading Latvian real estate experts and their teams the SORAINEN Latvian office will be offering the widest range of competences, optimal legal specialisation and most beneficial solutions for client assignments.

Laine shares her future vision: “SORAINEN attracted me with its high standards of work and internal culture that promotes opportunities for individual development supported by a big regional team, as well as development perspectives for establishing a joint Real Estate & Construction Team. I am inspired to contribute my knowledge and experience plus that of my team in reaching common goals”.

Other fields of Laine’s experience include labour law, as well as consultations to clients operating in the retail and trade, agriculture and forestry sectors. She has worked on several landmark company mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in Latvia and has also been an assistant to the Prime Minister in legislation issues. Laine has previously worked at and led several Baltic law firms as a partner.

The legal team joining SORAINEN includes senior associate Jevgenija Andronova, whose prime areas of specialisation are M&A, harbour operations and advertisement rights, senior associate Viktorija Smirnova-Cerkasa, who excels in the fields of real estate, construction and energy, Maris Simulis, an experienced employment dispute resolution lawyer and lawyer Andris Vilisons, with significant experience in real estate transactions and dispute resolution.
