LNPP-2 Conducts Static test of Circular Crane in Reactor Building
OREANDA-NEWS. This event was preceded by a series of works that the companies' employees carried out in a very short period of time.
Specialists of MSU-90 were responsible for the mechanical part of the crane, the staff of OJSC SEM connected and checked the crane's electrical parts. OJSC Atomtechenergo completed the equipment checkout and tested it with further commissioning.
First of all, experts have carried out the idle trial run of the mechanism: tested all ring switches, crane safety devices, and determined the requisite set of works on the software. After the main set of work, employees began trial running of the mechanism, gradually increasing the load on the crane up to 200 tons. Making sure that the trial running under load was successful, they recorded geodetic measurements of the crane rail, crane mechanism and all the other pieces of equipment.
Immediately after that, experts have begun to serve the materials needed for the static tests. Spread bar weighing 15 tons, oil tank, which raises the oil pressure, and hydraulic test stand cylinder have been supplied. After the completion of all operations, workers have begun to raise the pressure in the hydraulic cylinder.
The action scheme is as follows: oil is fed into the cavity above the piston of the hydraulic cylinder, the piston moves down and pulls the hook block down to +26.000 elevation, thereby producing loading.
Then, the specialists phase by phase brought the load up to 450 tons, with the design capacity of the polar crane of 360 tons. Making sure that all the indicators correspond to the design values, employees relieved the pressure.
In the near future, the registration of the crane in the bodies of RTN is expected, providing the permit to put the equipment into operation. Successful completion of this event is to enable a large amount of assembly and commissioning. As soon as the polar crane will be put into operation, the experts will start loading and installing the steam generators at their regular place. Later it will be used for assembly work in the reactor building of the Leningrad NPP-2 first power unit.
Background information:
Holding Company TITAN-2 - is the largest group of companies in the North-West, erecting the most important nuclear power and energy facilities. The organizations carry out the full cycle of construction and assembly works: from development of design documentation to commissioning of the facility.
Holding Company TITAN-2 is one of the main contractors in construction of units No. 1 and No. 2 of Leningrad NPP-2. The Holding Company's organizations carry out 30 % of civil works and 80 % of assembly works at the construction site. The specialists of the Holding Company are working at the first and the second unit facilities of the Leningrad LNPP-2. The works are currently carried out in the reactor building, turbine building, electric power supply building, water supply building, district heating buildings and other structures of the units.
