OREANDA-NEWS. August 12, 2014. Resolution of the National Bank of Ukraine №499 "On amendments to the Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine №328 dd. 30 May 2014" cancelled the limitations on FX transfers by private individuals and limited the amount of cash in hryvnia which can be withdrawn to UAH 150,000 regardless of the method of account replenishment.

Therefore, within one business day resident individuals can transfer foreign currency, no supporting documents needed, outside Ukraine in amount not exceeding the equivalent of UAH 15,000 either from the FX current account, or without its opening.

If amount transferred within one business day exceeds UAH 15,000, then the transaction is carried out solely from the FX current account on the basis of supporting documents.

FX transfers outside Ukraine from the current accounts of non-resident individuals are carried out without any limitation of the amount.

The Resolution of the NBU №449 dd. 28 July 2014 also introduced the limitation of cash withdrawals in national currency, so that one customer can withdraw an amount of up to UAH 150,000 per day including from the current (card) or deposit accounts regardless of whether the account was replenished in cash or cashless form.

The abovementioned limitations do not apply to salary payments, business trip allowances (within the regulations stipulated by the legislation), pensions, student allowances, other social payments and their equivalents (except financial aid).
