OREANDA-NEWS. August 11, 2014. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) organized a meeting of the Working Group of the Expert Council for developing competition on the market of production and circulation of ethyl alcohol, alcohol and alcohol-containing products with involvement of interested persons and the authorities, in which took part representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, the “Committee of Producers of Alcohol Products” Non-Profit Partnership, the Union of Producers of Alcohol Products, Tatarstan Alcohol Association and other representatives of the industry.

At the meeting, Working Group participants outlined controversial issues for the industry, in particular, dual security for the payment of customs duties, excises for alcohol products.

Representatives of FAS and the Ministry of Economic Development expressed readiness for cooperation with departmental associations, as well as interested executive bodies on the issues of decreasing administrative barriers, improving the mechanisms of control over production and sales of excise goods.

Participants agreed upon an Actions Plan on the issues.
