OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid insurance compensation of RUB 7.1 m to Jewelry House Yashma (Jasper) LLC due to the robbery of a jewelry store in St. Petersburg.

The inventories of jewelry stored by Jewelry House Yashma LLC, in particular, gold jewelry with precious stones, were insured with Ingosstrakh Insurance Company against the risks of fire, gas explosion, stroke of lightning, malicious acts of third parties, robbery, and burglary.

On January 26, 2013 a robbery was committed in one of the policyholder's jewelry stores of St. Petersburg, and, as a result, a part of the insured jewelry was stolen.

A criminal case was initiated on the robbery. Having examined in detail all the circumstances of the case, as well as the findings of law enforcement agencies, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company recognized the robbery as an insured event and paid compensation to the policyholder in the amount of the loss incurred.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has cooperated with Jewelry House Yashma LLC in the sphere of property and inventories insurance since 2011.
