OREANDA-NEWS. Trubodetal factory (Trubodetal Open Joint Stock Company, based in Chelyabinsk, part of United Metallurgical Company, OMK CJSC, Moscow) has successfully passed an audit of its pipeline fittings production, and has confirmed its compliance with the EN ISO 3834-2 standard. It received certificates attesting to its compliance with European Directive 97/23/EC, known as the “Pressure Equipment Directive.” The certification was conducted by the international organization, TUV SUD Industrie Service GmbH. The new documents will allow the factory to manufacture products for the European market.

Subjected to the review were products (reservoir components that work under pressure, equipment for the oil and gas industry, fittings, and assembly units) as well the technological process of welding. According to the requirements of the EN ISO 3834-2 standard, a welding quality manual and technological maps for Trubodetal products were compiled at the factory.

“We got certificates in seven technologies. They provide a detailed description of the technical characteristics of the products and their production technologies. Additionally, there are ten welders at the factory who have undergone training and qualification according to international standards. This is an obligatory condition for receiving the certificates. Consequently, we can now take part in implementing pipeline projects in Europe,” said Andrey Korotkov, Trubodetal's Managing Director.
