OREANDA-NEWS. August 08, 2014. The regular Session of the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan Joint Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation took place at the International Business Center in Tashkent.

The event was attended by the heads of ministries and agencies, firms and companies of two countries, engaged on such fields as foreign economic relations, trade and industry, investments, power engineering, oil and gas industry, agriculture and water resources management, transport and transport communications, automobile manufacture, railways, customs issues, culture and sport. 

During the session was noted that extensive works, aimed at ensure performance of agreements, achieved on the course of meetings of heads of two states are carrying out and it favor the development of our countries. Turkmen businessmen were presented detailed information on opportunities and preferences in Navoi, Angren and Jizzakh special economic zones. 

During the forum exchange of views on issues of further development of trade-economic, investment, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation, as well as implementing of joint projects, increasing of joint ventures, offices of firms and companies took place. Objectives of coherent enlargement of mutual cooperation in the fields of power engineering, oil and gas industry, agriculture and water resources management, transport and transport communications were discussed.
