OREANDA-NEWS. Engineers of the company are restoring the infrastructure damaged by military operations. By the beginning of August, they fixed 16 damaged areas and mended around 900 km of transmission lines on trunk and zone sections as well as 24 areas and 530 km of cable on rural sections.

The provider is taking every effort to secure local residents with communications services. Despite the challenging conditions the company has never stopped to work offering subscribers fixed-line telephony and internet access and facing regular difficulties in the areas of active military actions.

Ukrtelecom continues repairs in the region realizing how important communications are for the locals. Where electricity supply is damaged, the company works hard to provide communications using backup power sources. Where the lines can not be repaired at the moment, Ukrtelecom utilizes reserved capacity channels.

Telecom networks get fully restored after repairs are over and electricity supply is in place. Communications have been almost fully renewed in a number of liberated towns - more than 95% of subscribers can use telephony and internet services in Kramatorsk and Slavyansk today.

In total, the military operations taken under the anti-terrorist action in the region have damaged more than 80 lines of trunk and zone sections (over 1,200 km) and 25 rural lines (over 1,000 km).
