Brusnichka Continues Working in Donbass
OREANDA-NEWS. As some mass media spread information about the closure of large chain stores in Donbass, Ukrainskiy Retail states that at present Brusnichka retail chain does not plan to stop operation in Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts. The company's management takes all the efforts to ensure normal operation of its trade outlets in the current difficult situation.
As of 4 August 2014, only 8 out of 76 fresh markets have suspended operation in:
Lisichansk (5a, kv. Lenkoma)
Yubileynoye settlement in Lugansk Oblast (6, ul. Sadovaya)
Donetsk (23, ul. Zuyevskaya; 117g, ul. Petrovskogo; 37, ul. Tereshkovoy)
Avdeyevka (17, ul. Karla Marksa)
Shakhtersk (22, ul. Lenina)
Torez (5, kv G).
The rest of stores operate as normal. If the situation deteriorates some trade outlets may change their working hours. Brusnichka chain will provide information on its official website and social network groups, Vkotakte and Odnoklassniki.

Ukrainskiy Retail manages Brusnichka store chain. Established on 13 September 2006, Ukrainskiy Retail is headquartered in Donetsk with two regional HQ located in Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov. The first store under Brusnichka brand was opened in March 2007 in Donetsk. As of July 2014, the Brusnichka chain includes 134 stores located in Donetsk (66), Kharkov (21), Dnepropetrovsk (22), Zaporozhye (6), Lugansk (10) and Poltava (9) oblasts. The chain operates in "fresh market" format, with the area of about 300 sqm and a choice of around 4,500 SKUs. The store chain serves about 160,000 customers a day and employs over 4,500 people.
The company's assets include distribution centres of 10,000 sqm, with the commodity turnover accounting for 60% of the chain's turnover and a production facility supplying the stores with meat products, fresh pastry and ready-to-eat food. Also, the company has own car fleet consisting of 45 trucks.
