OREANDA-NEWS. On July 10, 2014 Vyborg Shipyard signed a subcontract with Arctech Helsinki Shipyard being as well as Vyborg Shipyard JSC a corporate member of the United Shipbuilding Corporation. According to the contract Vyborg Shipyard will fabricate sections and blocks for a standby vessel. The vessel will be built under the design of Aker Arctic, which is one of leading design companies carrying out design works for ice class vessels.

Under the contract VSY will deliver more than 4 thousand tons of steel structures. In the near future it is planned to conclude contracts with Arctech Helsinki Shipyard for delivery of steel structures for the next two standby vessels.
