Dobrolet Temporarily Suspends Flights Due to EU Sanctions
OREANDA-NEWS. Aeroflot (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) today announces that its subsidiary airline Dobrolet will temporarily suspend flights as of 00:00 Moscow time on 4 August 2014.
Several European counterparties have notified Dobrolet of their refusal to fulfil their obligations to the airline in connection with the economic sanctions enacted by the European Union. Leasing, repair and maintenance services and airplane insurance agreements were annulled, as well as the provision of aeronautical information. Due to the unprecedented pressure that has been applied to Dobrolet by its European counterparties, the carrier has no option but to suspend flights and ticket sales.
Passengers with tickets for Moscow-Simferopol-Moscow (up to and including 15 September) and Moscow-Volgograd-Moscow (up to and including 20 August) will be transported by Orenburg Air at the same time and date as is indicated in their tickets.
Passengers for flights to Samara, Perm, Ufa, Ekaterinburg, Surgut and Kazan are eligible for full refunds.
