Trading Networks of Romania Are Interested in Sales Moldovan Fruits

These was announced by their representatives at the meeting with the state Secretary of the Ministry of agriculture of Romania Daniel Botanoiu, attended by representatives of Association of producers and exporters of fruits and table grapes Moldova, headed by the Deputy Minister of agriculture and food industry of Moldova Vlad Login.
It is planned that in the nearest future will be held discussions on the level of the Romanian hypermarkets and Moldovan producers to establish appropriate partnerships. Daniel Botanoiu stressed the readiness of Romania to support farmers from Moldova to overcome the difficult economic situation, connected with the introduction of Russia's ban on supplies of Moldovan fruits and vegetables. In his words, Moldova is a part of Europe, and the activities of growing of vegetables and fruits should be saved, and Romania will render the appropriate support. Representatives of Association of producers and exporters of fruits and grapes presented the export potential of Moldova, in particular, fresh apples and apples for processing, plums and table grapes.
At the same time, representatives of the largest companies of retail trade showed interest in supporting producers from Moldova. The Vice-President of Association of the largest commercial networks Romania Delia Nica proposed to hold in the nearest future the negotiations at the level of specific hypermarkets and producers of Moldova on the development of mutually beneficial partnership. It is planned that every week two state secretaries of agriculture ministries of Moldova and Romania will monitor progress in achieving the agreement of both parties.
These measures are taken after consultations between the governments of Moldova and Romania, as well as the discussion that was held by the head of the Ministry of agriculture of Romania and the European Commissioner for agriculture and rural development for finding solutions for the access of Moldovan products to the European market. The EU announced the decision to double the quota on export of Moldavian apples, plums and grapes and accelerate the procedure of its entry into force.
The Ministry of agriculture and rural development of Romania sent to Moldova group of experts in the phyto-sanitary area to implement procedures for access of agricultural products to the EU market.
