Rusatom Overseas, MEDSI Will Build Nuclear Medicine Center
OREANDA-NEWS. August 06, 2014. Rusatom Overseas, subsidiary of ROSATOM, and MEDSI, largest network of private medical clinics in Russia, signed Memorandum of Intent that provides for joint implementation of the project of establishing a nuclear medicine center.
The nuclear medicine center will be located in the MEDSI medical park in Otradnoye, Moscow region, and will consist of two units: the nuclear medicine center itself and the ion proton therapy center. In those centers, patients will be able to get medical diagnostic services using such methods as radionuclide single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and radionuclide positron emission tomography (PET), as well as services in radionuclide therapy, brachytherapy and ion proton radiotherapy. In addition to that, the center will house production of radiopharmaceuticals for internal needs and for the needs of other medical facilities.
In the project, MEDSI will offer medical solutions, train medical personnel and organize patient flow and sale of goods and services, whereas Rusatom Overseas will act as project architect and integrator, provide for supplies and maintenance of the main equipment and train technical staff.
