OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2014. This was reported by the ANRCETI, noting that on Friday the company Orange Moldova was provided with three licenses for the right to use the free resources of the radio frequency spectrum in the bands 800 MHz, 900 MHz and 1800 MHz for the provision of networks and services of the mobile ground-based electronic communications.

License to the General Director of Orange Moldova Ludmila Climoc was handed by the general Director of ANRCETI Grigorie Varanita. ANRCETI granted licenses based on application of Orange Moldova, through the direct provision, in accordance with the Program of radio frequency spectrum management for 2013-2020, approved by the government on February 11, 2013. The document stipulates that a license to use the radio frequency spectrum in these bands ANRCETI is provided directly to the suppliers that have already created the network and legally render services of mobile electronic communications. The issuance of relevant permits is due to expiration of licenses of Orange Moldova (November 5, 2014).

The validity of new licenses is 15 years since 6 November 2014 Licenses were issued after the Orange Moldova paid the full amount of the license fees for each license, the size of which is established in the Program of radio frequency spectrum management for 2013-2020. Following the issuance of licenses, the general director of ANRCETI Grigorie Varanita stated that the use of three licenses in the mode of technological neutrality will allow Orange Moldova to increase the efficiency of the existing network, to expand the coverage zone of mobile broadband networks 3G and 4G, which will facilitate the transfer of consumers from 2G and 3G to more advanced network services - 4G, and to 5G.

"Thus, the citizens of our country will be able to use higher quality broadband services, in a more extended area," said Grigorie Varanita. In her turn, Liudmila Climoc stressed that for Orange Moldova getting these 3 licenses means to implement in Moldova the most advanced technologies in this field to provide affordable, healthy and high-quality services to all residents of the country.

It should be noted that previously the ANRCETI administrative Board made decisions on issuing the 3rd providers of mobile telephony (Orange-Moldova, Moldcell and Moldtelecom) with 8 licenses for the right to use the free resources of the radio frequency spectrum in the broadband 800 MHz, 900 MHz and 1800 MHz, in order to provide networks and services of mobile cellular terrestrial electronic communications. Licenses will be issued to suppliers upon payment of the full amount of the license fees within 30 days from the day of acceptance of ANRCETI decision on issuing the relevant licenses.
