OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2014. The Supervisory Board of VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) has appointed Yuri Yakovlev as the chairman of its Management Board. Mr. Yakovlev assumed office in July 2014 after certification by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Yuri Yakovlev has been working at VTB Group since 2006. In 2011, he was appointed head of the New Delhi branch of VTB Bank.

First Deputy President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board Vasily Titov said: "Yuri Yakovlev has significant financial sector experience. He has successfully managed the task of running VTB Bank’s subsidiary in India efficiently. We believe that under his guidance, VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) will actively continue to grow its business while strengthening key financial indicators."
