OREANDA-NEWS. August 04, 2014. According to NBM, in May of this year the national Bank of Moldova predicted average inflation rate in 2014 at the level of 5.2%, and in 2015 - at the level of 4.3%.

The new forecast of NBM provides that average annual inflation in 2014 will make 4.7%, and in 2015 - 3,5%, decreasing, thereby, by 0.5 percentage points and 0.8 percentage points, respectively. As it is noted in NBM, based on the available data, there is a risk of a temporary exit of annual inflation below the lower limit of the interval of changes ± 1.5 percentage points from the target of 5% in the first and second quarters by 2015.

More detailed medium-term inflation outlook, assessment of the macroeconomic situation in the country, risks and challenges for monetary policy, will be given in presentation of the National Bank of Moldova on August 7, in the third inflation report this year.

It was approved today at the session of the administrative Board. It should be noted that within the previous review in May the National Bank of Moldova lowered its inflation forecast for 2014 by 0.2 percentage points up to 5.2%, and in 2015 - by 0.5% up to 4.3 percent.
