OREANDA-NEWS. July 31, 2014. As it was informed in the National Bank, the amount of withdrawn cash with such bank cards in April-June grew by 14.9% up to 6 billion 103 million lei, while the volume of non-cash payments increased by 39.1% up to 341,4 million lei.

According to the National Bank, during the same period the volume of transactions performed abroad via bank cards issued in Moldova has increased by 34.1% up to 537,6 million lei. Thus the amount of cash taken from these cards abroad increased by 15% up to 111.2 million lei, while the volume of cashless payments on these cards has increased by 40.2% to 426,3 million lei.

In the second quarter of 2014, compared to the same period last year, the volume of transactions carried out in Moldova with the use of cards issued abroad, increased by 24.9%- up to 804,9 million lei. The volume of cash, performed with such cards, increased by 18.5%-up to 507.5 million lei, while the volume of cashless payments grew by 37.7%- up to 297,4 million lei.
