OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid insurance indemnity in the amount of over RUB 4.9 m due to the ignition of Volvo excavator, which was used by Belozersky Lespromkhoz OJSC (Belozersk town, the Vologda Region) under a lease agreement.

The excavator was insured by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company under insurance agreement for mobile equipment leased to third party. The agreement provides protection against all risks, including fire, lightning stroke, natural disasters and hazardous natural phenomena, wrongful acts of third parties (theft, robbery, burglary, theft of the mobile equipment, hooliganism, vandalism, intentional destruction or damage to property), accidents, etc.

The incident occurred at Belozyorsk forestry in the Vologda region. As a result of ignition, the machine was completely destroyed by fire. After expert examination, the case was recognized as an insured event, and Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid insurance compensation to the leasing company in accordance with the terms of the agreement.

Belozersky Lespromkhoz OJSC is the largest company in the Cherepovetsles holding, with annual timber production of to 600,000 cubic meters. Forestry is carried out in compliance with all the existing rules and regulations of forest legislation. In 2001, a modern sawmill, with a design capacity of over 70,000 cubic meters of sawn softwood annually, was built on the basis of Belozersky LPH. The sawmill exports edged board to Central and Western Europe to factories producing wood trim and dressed lumber.
