OREANDA-NEWS.  July 28, 2014. Kazakh Healthcare Minister Salidat Kairbekov met with a delegation of Japan, led by head of the cultural and economic exchange committee for Central Asia of the international council of friendly exchanges, CEO at Sakura Global Holding Co Kenichi Matsumoto.

The minister thanked Mr Matsumoto for the interest and contribution to the development of international cooperation in the sphere of healthcare between the two nations. She stressed that the countries established strong partnership.

The Kazakh ministry supports the international council of friendly exchanges in an effort to tune up friendship between the nations and creation of a special committee for collaboration with Central Asia, the press release reads.

Salidat Kairbekova briefed on the ministry's work within the Salamatty Kazakhstan program resulted primarily in two-fold reduction of cardiovascular mortality. She also highlighted trainings and career enhancement of medical and pharmaceutical staff at the national and foreign education and science organizations, etc.  The minister drew attention to significance of circulatory disease, cancer prevention and control issues, development of public-private partnership in the sphere of healthcare.

In his turn, the head of the Japan's delegation expressed his intention to examine healthcare situation in Kazakhstan to find out possibilities in order to improve maternal and child health, to train caretaking personnel and medical equipment operators. He also put forward a plan to hold a medical forum in the future.
